The boys and girls athletic programs at Wylie East found success in district, the playoffs and at the state level.

The Raiders had two out of five grapplers earn medals in 5A state wrestling tournament.

They claimed 15th out of 89 teams at the Berry Center in Cypress.

Geronimo Saucedo closed out his high school career in storybook fashion with a third straight appearance at state.

He emerged with first place finish in the 195-pound weight class. He was the first individual state champion in school history.
