WYLIE – There will be familiar faces on the 2016 Lady Pirate roster. However, there are a number of new ones, too, and how they mesh with their veteran teammates will determine what kind a season 2016 will be for the maroon and white.
“We’ve got a lot of new faces,” head coach Chris Bezner said. “We graduated 10, so that gives us 10 spots to fill. We pulled up a lot of girls from JV. I think we only have two returning on the JV team, and the rest is made up of freshmen … The experience (on varsity) is going to be one of the challenges we have. They are getting experience every game, because everybody is getting minutes and we’re learning to try and know each other every game.”
