Collin College students picked for NASA trip

by | Mar 20, 2019 | Education

Two Collin College students are one step closer to achieving their dreams of working at NASA.

This summer, Fadi Istelinides of Frisco and Kelly Corzo of Dallas will participate in the NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS) onsite experience. Only 400 other community college students from across the country were selected.

NCAS consists of five weeks of online workshops, ending with four days at a NASA center during the summer. The students will meet with NASA engineers, tour facilities, get information about career opportunities and work in teams to learn about Mars exploration. Each group will design a rover, create a company and manage a budget and communication.
