by | Aug 18, 2020 | Education

Late filings for the Wylie Independent School District brought the tally of hopefuls up to eight and created a pair of contested races this fall.

The school board candidate filing deadline was Monday, Aug. 17, for the election slated for Nov. 3.

Signed up for Place 3 on the board are Bryan Brokaw, Bill Howard and Toshia Kimball.

Seeking Place 7 are Kylie Reising, Brenda Scherer, Donny McKay and Sharon Kindall.

Running unopposed for re-election to Place 4 is Matt Atkins, currently serving as board president.

Incumbent Barbara Goss, Place 3, and incumbent Stacie Gooch, Place 7, decided to not seek re-election this year.
