After spending about two and one-half years as assistant city manager, Chris Holsted was promoted last week to the post of Wylie City Manager.
Holsted assumes the post on May 1, the day after current City Manager Mindy Manson retires.

The busy time of the year is budget season, which starts in spring and runs until September when the budget and tax rate are adopted.
