Breaking news: Wylie FD aids with head-on collision on FM 6

A head-on collision drew emergency services personnel from all directions Monday afternoon around 2:30 p.m.

The wreck occurred between a black pick-up and a passenger car on FM 6 near Savannah Drive

Nevada, Josephine, Wylie and Farmersville Fire Departments along with Josephine and Lavon PD responded to the crash. American Medical Response also responded to the scene.

Preliminary information indicates that two people were injured with one person being rescued from the crash utilizing extrication tools.

The road was shut down for more than an hour.
