Local scholarships open in Wylie

by | Feb 6, 2019 | Education

Seniors in Wylie ISD can earn hundreds of dollars from local businesses, individuals and organizations.

An online application for WISD-specific scholarships opened Friday, Feb. 1 and closes March 1.

“Our one-time online application allows students to fill out one application, and the foundation will allocate the funds,” said Lori Villarreal, executive director of Wylie ISD Education Foundation. “We work to match the criteria from the donors to the students.”

Wylie East and Wylie High send out a common link to all seniors. All applicants provide personal details and answer a series of essay questions.
