Wylie ISD encourages energy conservation through ‘Power Challenge’

The push for energy conservation and green initiatives is sweeping across the state of Texas. Last week Wylie ISD began a Five Day Power Challenge.

The district teamed up with Schneider Electric to help implement the program, receiving training about how behavior/attitude towards energy contributes to carbon foot printing. The goal is to reduce energy use by 10 percent and transfer those savings back to the classroom.
