With just five days of school left, seniors visited their elementary schools May 29. Dressed in their graduation regalia, they were invited to elementary schools across the district to show younger students what they can become.
“It was cool to see little kids’ faces light up,” senior Taylor Veracruz said. “They thought we were so big. They said ‘wow you’re tall!’”
This is the first year the elementary walk throughs has taken place. As the elementary students lined their schools’ hallways, they high fived the seniors and cheered them on. “It was so sweet that they even took the time to make us signs,” Veracruz said.
May 29 was also Day of Adornment, another first for the school. Students were encouraged to wear their graduation regalia, medals and cords all day.
