Pirates look to dominate district again

Any program can have a suc­cessful season.

With the target on their backs, the goal for the Wylie boys and girls cross-country teams is to repeat that success. Both teams reign as District 9-6A champi­ons and have their respective challenges to repeat that mark.

The boys cross-country team returns with a strong roster, but missing its leader. Luke Lam­bert, a state champion cross country runner in 2020, gradu­ated and signed to run at Tulsa next season. For head coach Calley Conner, that always is a difficult runner to replace.
