Canoe, trek experience life-changing for Scouts

Jett Baker went away from home in June and enjoyed what he deemed was an “out of body experience.”

Baker and other Boy Scouts from Boy Scout Troop 1776 had no access to phones, television, games or the internet, and yet they “had the time of our lives,” said Baker, who lives in Richard­son and is a rising senior at Plano East High School.
