Wylie Fire-Rescue introduced its new set of trading cards over the weekend that feature 20 pieces of firefighting equipment with a safety message on the back of each card.
Firefighters passed out the cards Saturday, March 9, at the three fire stations and will hand then out to children at community events, during school visits, or even on the street and at stores.
“We tried to get everything that is involved in the fire service,” Capt. Ray Jackson said.
Jackson headed the project with Driver/Engineer Clayton Jones and photographer Lindsey Bain, setting up the pictures and getting descriptions of each piece of equipment along with gathering safety tips.
