The cost to renovate the Public Safety Building, closed since sustaining extensive damage in the April 2016 hailstorm, will be about $15.1 million, Wylie City Council members learned last week.
The numbers were presented by Assistant City Manager Chris Holsted and Architect Design Group representatives at a workshop conducted Tuesday, Feb. 12.
“What you see today is within our current budget for the project,” Holsted said. “We still have some work to do on some of the alternates.”
The project alternates include parking awnings, perimeter security fence, public parking, sallyport and interior courtyard design.
