The name may be Biker Church, but the Wylie house of worship welcomes people from all walks of life, especially those who have drifted away from religion.
“A lot of people read the name Biker Church and think its just open to bikers, but it’s not,” Pastor J.R. Franklin, 60, said. “We are open to anyone who wants to come.”
Franklin started the church 11 years ago in Westminster, conducting services in a bar and grill, moved to Plano for about five years and moved to Wylie four years ago. The church moved to a new location at 303 Hwy. 78 in December 2018.
“To go to a bar and start a church was pretty brave,” Franklin pointed out.
