WEDC announces redevelopment project

by | Jan 30, 2019 | Latest

As part of an ongoing program to get the highest and best use out of property, Wylie Economic Development Corporation announced efforts to obtain 10.833 acres of prime business real estate for redevelopment.

WEDC Executive Sam Satterwhite made the announcement at the Jan. 22 Wylie City Council meeting.

Location of the effort is on the northwest corner of the Hwy. 78 and Brown Street intersection and includes property owned by individuals, Kansas City Southern Railroad, city of Wylie and Collin County.

Satterwhite reported that WEDC learned that some of the property owners were interested in different projects and that a better plan would be to put together a combined tract to control development.
