Downtown Wylie comes alive Saturday with musicians, cars, arts and crafts vendors, children’s activities and fireworks in the annual Bluegrass on Ballard celebration.

Ballard Avenue will be blocked off from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. for the event, although the main activities do not get started until 3 p.m. This is the fourth year that the celebration has carried a theme of bluegrass music; country music was featured for the preceding 27 years.
