Charles F. “Chuck” Williams passed away May 29, 2026, in Richardson, Texas, at the age of 92. He was born Jan. 24, 1934, in Wylie, Texas, to D. Farrell Williams and Mary Beth Wilson Williams.
A proud Aggie, Chuck graduated from Texas A&M University with an engineering degree as a member of the Class of 1955. He served six years in the United States Army and attained the rank of captain.
Chuck enjoyed a 46-year engineering career with General Electric, Collins Radio Company and Rockwell International before retiring. He was a life member of the Engineering Management Association.
He was also deeply involved with the Texas Elks State Association. He served as state president in 1983-84 and later was elected Grand Exalted Ruler, the national president of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, serving in 1993-94. He remained active in Grand Lodge leadership, serving on numerous advisory committees and national commissions, and as state sponsor for Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Texas.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Gladys Genson Williams, whom he married in July 2013; his son, Farrell Williams; stepchildren Cindy Hampton, Tiny Davis, Carol Wright, Cheryl Jo Wood and Jeff Bogue; and their families, including 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by Gladys’s children, Lane Genson, Rusty Genson and Tracy Genson, and their families.
Funeral services were held June 4, 2026, at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas, with burial following.
