Sondra Carolyn Adams-Robinson

by | Apr 27, 2026 | Obituaries

Sondra Carolyn Adams-Robinson of Wylie, Texas, passed away on March 14, 2026, at the age of 83. She was born on October 18, 1942, to Harry Newton Hardin and Dovie Marie (McCurry) Hardin in Morrilton, Arkansas.

Sondra was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. She modeled unconditional love and kindness, always looking for and finding the good in every person and situation. Although she filled a variety of work roles over the years, she manifested her love for children through her primary calling as an elementary school Language Arts teacher. She loved Jesus, family, and friends, with many of her friends becoming “family” to her. Sondra touched many lives with her kindness and generosity; she leaves behind a Legacy of Love, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Sondra is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Robinson of Wylie, Texas; daughter Holly Renell Adams of Hazleton, Pennsylvania; daughter Alexandra Hope “Sammie” Adams of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil; brother Bobby Wayne Hardin (Lisa), of Walterville, Oregon; and brother Douglas Edward Hardin (Janice Cline), of Crossville, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Marie Hardin, and by her husband of 46 years, Edgar Earl Adams.

A memorial service to celebrate Sondra’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 8, 2026, at the Chapel at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, with Rev. Todd Harris presiding, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.

Interment will follow at 2:15 p.m. at DFW Memorial Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211, where Sondra will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Edgar Earl Adams.

(There will be no dress code for either service.)
