cAnally was born in El Paso on March 1, 1966, to Michael D. and Catherine Masters McAnally. He passed away unexpectedly on Aug. 22, 2025, at the age of 59 at his home in Milton, Florida.
McAnally was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Maegan Debra, and his mother, Catherine Masters McAnally. He is survived by his sons, Mason Donovan and Marshall Derrick; his father, Michael D. McAnally; sisters, Cynthia McAnally Janak (Clayton) and Laura McAnally Rogers (Steven, deceased); nieces and nephews, Judson, Sam, Cathlyn and Jillian Janak, Whitney, Greg and Audrey Rogers; and grandniece and grandnephews, Hazel Janak, Emmett Janak and Henry Janak.
McAnally graduated from Wylie High School in 1984 and from East Texas State University with a master’s in 1989. He dedicated his professional life to advocating for and protecting those who needed support and compassion. Outside of work, he was deeply involved in youth soccer with multiple coaching certifications and as a director of the local United Futbol Club.
His absence is deeply felt. His legacy is compassion, support and fairness.
