Tommy Joe Parr, 86, of Clarksville, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
Joe was born Sept. 23, 1938, in Wylie, Texas, to Dorsey and Mildred Smith Parr. He was a hardworking man, a true cowboy, and never believed in the word “can’t.” On April 4, 1958, he married the love of his life, Paula.
In 2004, Joe and Paula fulfilled his lifelong dream by purchasing the Flying Horseshoe Ranch in Clarksville, where they built lasting friendships and a life they loved. Paula worked faithfully by his side until her death Feb. 13, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Paula Parr.
Joe is survived by his children, Sheryl Haugen and husband, Jerry, of Plano, Laura Deluna of Clarksville, and Tammi Wilson and husband, Larry, of Princeton; grandchildren, Leanna Quintos and husband, Pedro, Joey Wilson and wife, Breanna, Jonathan Wilson and wife, Alura, Jeremy Wilson, and Megan Blum and husband, Chris; great-grandchildren, Bella, Joseph, Jacob, Lance, Ali, Kay, Jonathan, Savanah, Jack, Sage, Samantha, Lucy and Molly; his great-great-grandchild, Richie; and special friend, Phylliss Ross.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, at Clarksville Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Richardson officiating. Burial followed at 3 p.m. in Wylie Cemetery.
