Special election early voting starts

 Early voting to fill a vacancy for Texas Senate, Dist. 30, that includes much of Wylie opens Monday, Sept. 14 and runs through Friday, Sept. 25.

A special election to fill a va­cancy created when state Sen. Pat Fallon stepped down to campaign for the U.S. House of Representatives, Dist. 4, was called by Gov. Greg Abbot so that the district would have representation when the Texas Legislature convenes for its bi­ennial session in January 2020.
