After satisfying taste buds in downtown Wylie for 20 years, Taste of Home owner Kathy Goodwin is stepping away from the business for a well-deserved retirement.
The restaurant, located in a 1900-vintage house at 302 N. Ballard Ave., is for sale. However, if not sold by March 31, the doors will be closed.
“I am happy. I’ve been doing this 20 years in Wylie,” Goodwin said. “It’s just time for retirement.”
She also noted that her husband, Scot, is retiring at the end of the year.
“I’ve worked full time since I was 16 and in high school,” Goodwin said.
