County livestock show opens Jan. 6

Young livestock exhibitors get to show off their months of work next week when the 2019 Collin County Junior Livestock Show open for a Jan. 6-12 run at Myers Park in McKinney.

The annual show is hosted by Collin County Junior Livestock Association.

Signed up for the competition are FFA chapter members from Wylie High School and Wylie East High School, and area 4-H Club members, more than 100 total.

The weeklong show includes judging of livestock, horticulture and shop projects, culminating with an auction Saturday, Jan. 12 in which the exhibitors of the top ranked entries get paid for their efforts.
