A new master plan addressing projected growth at McKinney National Airport was unveiled last week in a pair of public meetings and open houses.
The airport, with its central location in Collin County, serves general and commercial aviation interests in the area with 120,470 takeoffs and landings logged in 2016.
A planning advisory committee meeting was held Wednesday, March 8, a technical advisory meeting was conducted Thursday, March 9, and open houses were conducted at the airport terminal building both days. Attendees included representatives of the county and nearby cities, business owners, aviation business representatives, and nearby landowners and residents.
