Pirates’ basketball off to fast start

WYLIE — The Pirates’ basketball team entered the Thanksgiving break off a solid 68-59 win over JJ Pearce on Nov. 22 at McMillan Junior High, and then followed that with a 62-47 win over North Garland on Tuesday.

Those victories improved Wylie’s overall record to 4-0, and it’s one they hope to build upon at this weekend’s Prosper Tournament and a Tuesday, Dec. 6 home contest against Garland.

“We’ve got to get better every day,” head coach Stephen Pearce said. “We’ve got to get better at everything we do.”
