The newest member of the Wylie Police Department, K-9 Officer Gunner, has helped with 10 arrests in about three weeks since returning from training camp with partner Officer Richard Chambers.

“We’ve been very busy, so far,” Chambers declared.

Gunner is a 21-month-old Czech Shepherd, a German Shepherd born in Czechoslovakia, who received specialized training in Holland. The international dog understands commands in Dutch, which Chamber learned during their co-training sessions this summer.
