Debbie Lynn Garland was born on February 24, 1964, and entered into the presence of her Lord on July 15, 2026, at the age of 62.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Debbie Lynn Garland, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, family member, and friend whose kindness, compassion, and unconditional love touched countless lives.
Debbie had an extraordinary gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and cared for. She never met a stranger and had a heart that overflowed with love and generosity. Whether offering a comforting word, a helping hand, or simply a warm smile, she had a remarkable ability to brighten the lives of those around her. Her gentle spirit, genuine compassion, and selfless nature will forever be remembered by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Above all else, Debbie’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted and loving wife who deeply cherished her husband, Tom. Their life together was built on love, laughter, unwavering support, and countless treasured memories. She loved fiercely, gave selflessly, and never let those she loved leave without knowing exactly how much they meant to her.
She was an incredibly proud mother who loved her children with all her heart and found immense happiness watching them grow and build families of their own.
Becoming a grandmother was one of life’s greatest blessings, and she treasured every hug, every laugh, and every moment spent with her grandchildren. They were truly the light of her life, and she never missed an opportunity to remind them how deeply they were loved.
Debbie also had a remarkable eye for beauty and a true passion for interior decorating. She found joy in creating warm, welcoming spaces and loved helping family and friends transform their homes into places filled with comfort and love. Her creativity and attention to detail reflected the care she put into everything she did.
She also shared a special bond with her beloved Shih Tzu, Lucy, who brought her endless companionship, happiness, and unconditional love. Lucy was a cherished part of Debbie’s family and brought a smile to her face every single day.
Debbie’s legacy is one of love, grace, compassion, and selflessness. She leaves behind a lifetime of beautiful memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those she loved so dearly.
She is survived by her loving husband, Tom Garland of Wylie; her son, Randy Abbe of Frisco; her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Steve Fitch of Wylie; her stepdaughter and stepson, Ashley and Nate Deck of Houston; her sisters, Wanda Barrows and Cindy Parrish; several amazing grandchildren who brought her endless pride and joy; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Although she is no longer with us in body, her spirit remains ever present. Her love, kindness, and the countless lives she touched will never be forgotten. Her memory will live on through the family she adored, the friends she cherished, and everyone whose life was made better simply because they knew her.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing Debbie is at peace in the loving arms of her Savior. While we will miss her deeply every day, we rejoice in the promise that this is not goodbye forever, but until we meet again. Her love, her gentle spirit, and the beautiful example she set will continue to guide and inspire us for generations to come.
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever in our hearts.
