P&Z Commission approves travel center zoning request

by | Aug 11, 2021 | Latest

The Wylie Planning and Zoning Commission on Aug. 3 approved a zoning request for a travel center to be constructed at northeast corner of State Highway 78 and Eubanks Lane.

The applicant wants to rezone 7.79 acres at that property, with the land currently zoned Commercial Corridor. The requested rezoning, if approved by Wylie City Council on Aug. 24, would switch the zoning to a Planned Development to allow for the construction of Fuel City Travel Center that contains a convenience store with motor fueling, a restaurant with drive-through service, truck fueling and an automatic car wash, city officials said.
