City, school elections set in spring

Cities and schools this month have formally ordered elections to their boards and councils, and a construction bond issue, for May 4, 2019.

City council and school board positions filing period opens Jan. 16 and closes Feb. 15.

Filling posts will be the cities of Wylie, Murphy, Lucas, Parker and St. Paul, Lovejoy Independent School District and Collin College. Wylie ISD is conducting a construction bond vote.

Wylie council seats to be filled are currently held by Mayor pro tem Keith Stephens, Place 1, and Jeff Forrester, Place 3.
