Once again the Lady Raiders are headed to the postseason, but they will do once there remains to be seen.
Based on their most recent wins, 6-3 over Lovejoy on March 1 and 2-1 over McKinney this past Friday, head coach Kody Christensen believes the defending state champions are well prepared to make some noise.
“I think we are definitely ready for a postseason run,” he said.
The most recent wins improved East’s 10-5A record to 11-1, a game ahead of Prosper (10-2) with two games left on the schedule. The Lady Raiders must win both — they traveled to Denison this past Monday and will host Sherman on March 15 — in order to secure their third district title.
