Pay tickets or risk arrest

Wylie Municipal Court officials urges anyone with an outstanding traffic ticket to pay it quickly or risk arrest during the Warrant Round-Up currently under way around the state.

A total of 1,561 warrants are open in the municipal court, equating to $586,388 in fines, fees and court costs. Last year, the total was 1,463 open warrants.

More than 300 law enforcement agencies across Texas are concentrating their efforts to address non-compliance with court orders. Those who have not resolved their tickets may be subject to arrest and their vehicle may be impounded, possibly resulting in additional tow and storage fees.
