Collin College Fall

Letter to the Editor

by | Jun 24, 2015 | Opinion

Dear Editor,

Thanks to Mr. Lee Hamilton for his article. He expressed my feeling so well.

I have been screaming the same for years in every survey I am asked to take. Their answer to me is campaigns are expensive.

I grew up in the ‘20s and ‘30s the candidate would come out in the country and give us their cards and chat with my parents if they were around. We would have a chance to discuss the pros and cons of their thinking. We felt like we knew them. I know that was then – now it’s an enlightened time; really!

He is right it has gotten worse. They are already touting who can raise the most money. Maybe Mr. Graham can be a voice for us lowly voters.

Thanks,

Mildred (Beckner) Lee
