Area golfers play Texas Women’s Open
Three area golfers competed last week in the Texas Woman’s Open at Old American Golf Course in The Colony and turned in performances near the top of the 119-member field.
Maddie McCrary of Wylie, who plays professionally on the Symetra Tour, finished seventh overall at one under par over three days. Sisters Libby and Meagan Winans of Richardson finished as third low amateur and fifth low amateur, respectively.
The tourney featured 55 professionals and 64 amateurs.
