Technical Campus to host Preview Day, car meet April 18

by | Apr 17, 2026 | Area News, Education

Collin College’s Technical Campus will host its sixth annual Preview Day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 18, offering prospective students and community members a chance to explore programs and campus offerings.

The event, formerly known as an open house, will feature information on a range of programs including automotive technology, pharmacy technician, computer-aided drafting and design and the college’s Bachelor of Applied Science in construction management. Representatives will also be available to discuss partnership programs with Texas A&M University, Texas State University and The University of Texas at Dallas.

A car meet is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon, highlighting the campus’ automotive training programs and industry partnerships designed to prepare future technicians.

Throughout the day, visitors can take part in department demonstrations across campus. Activities include interactive virtual welding equipment, advanced robotics displays — including a robotic dog — and showcases from the engineering, computer science and engineering technology department. Guests can also tour 2D and 3D printing labs supporting interior design and drafting programs and meet instructors from the architecture and construction programs.

Food and beverages will be available, with the on-campus Starbucks open for breakfast and the Cougar Café serving lunch. Additional food options and promotional items from campus programs and event vendors will be available while supplies last.

More information about the event is available at technicalcampusopenhouse.com.
