Raiders subdue The Colony, advance to third round

MCKINNEY — Joe Lepsis knows what lies ahead for his Raiders.
First and foremost, it’s a Class 5A, Div. I Region II semifinal against Lancaster this Friday at Allen. Secondly, the game provides Wylie East with an opportunity to make school history.“Wylie East has never made it past the third round,” Lepsis said following his team’s 56-28 thumping of The Colony at McKinney’ Ron Poe Stadium. “This group of kids wants to be the best team that’s ever played at Wylie East, and they know to accomplish that, we have to get past the third round.
