Advance to third round for first time

Wylie East continued their historic run in the Class 5A Region II playoffs.

They squared off Tuesday, Feb. 19 against Frisco Lone Star in the regional quarterfinals at JJ Pearce High School.

“Our focus is one game at a time. We’ve continually talked about executing on offense and taking care of what we need to do to be successful on the court,” WEHS head coach Meaghan Hodapp said. “We are very excited about this new experience for our program but also hungry to see what else we can accomplish.

It was the Lady Raiders (24-11 as of Monday, Feb. 18) first time playing a game in the third of the playoffs.
