City Council received an overview of Wylie Fire Rescue during a Tuesday, May 12 work session, highlighting the department’s operations, recent accomplishments and future planning priorities tied to the city’s continued growth.

Department officials said Wylie F-R responded to 7,259 calls for service in 2025, generating 12,316 total unit responses, or nearly 20 responses per day. Fire crews reported saving an estimated $19.42 million in property while losses from fires totaled approximately $2.28 million.
