Wylie City Council approved zoning and right-of-way items while outlining priorities for a potential multimillion-dollar bond package during its Tuesday, April 14 meeting.

Proceedings began with multiple recognitions, including Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month and National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. The city also recognized Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month, honoring officers Blake Miller and Alexandra Waters for their work protecting adolescents.

Additional recognition was given to Wylie ISD and the Wylie Parks and Recreation Department’s Senior2Senior Program for achieving the Crystal Certification of Merit from the Texas School Public Relations Association.

Following the recognitions, members unanimously approved the consent agenda.
