Two groups presented competing visions for the future of the historic Stonehaven House as Wylie City Council weighed how to relocate and restore the 1912 landmark.
The session opened Monday, Dec. 9, with recognitions, including Emily Lay as Junior Mayor for the Day, followed by a presentation honoring Eagle Scouts Ronan Herrick and Jacob Crabtrey.
Council members then unanimously approved the consent agenda, pulling one item — the city of Wylie Monthly Investment Report for Oct. 31, 2025 — for further discussion. After a brief deliberation, the item was also approved unanimously.
Council then moved into its first work-session discussion on the relocation and restoration of the Stonehaven House, hearing two presentations that offered different visions for the future use of the more than century-old structure.
