After 10 years in its current location, Wylie Acting Group (WAG) improved its theater in time to debut “Beetlejuice Jr.” with a fresh look.
“We started this renovation right around the middle of March of 2025 … it was our 10th anniversary of actually being part of renting this space,” said Amanda Sturgeon, board of directors president and co-director of “Beetlejuice Jr.”
Founded in 2010 under the leadership of Del Kinzie, WAG spent its early years moving between different buildings before settling in at 205 West Industrial Court next to Wylie Printing & Office Supply. WAG turned the empty warehouse into a theater by adding walls, a stage and a sound booth.
This year’s renovation is the first set of major updates made since the theater was originally built.
Volunteers made room for improvements with a “demo day,” and almost all of the renovation expenses were covered by donations.
“We very much rely on our friends of WAG, which is our families who support us through annual donations, and then, we are always in need of … corporate sponsors for our shows,” said Creative Director and “Beetlejuice Jr.” co-director Tiffany Harrod.
