Wylie Planning and Zoning approved two site plans and recommended a large-scale zoning change during its Tuesday, April 7 meeting. The projects are tied to roadway construction, retail growth and future industrial development.
Commissioners approved a request for a temporary concrete batch plant on city-owned property at the southeast corner of Skyview Drive and Forest Ross Road. City staff said the facility will support construction of Park Boulevard, a Collin County roadway project already underway.
The site plan includes access points from Forest Ross Road and the future Park Boulevard, along with designated areas for materials and equipment. Approval was granted with conditions to ensure compliance with requirements outlined in the city’s zoning ordinance.
