Documents submitted to the Parker Planning & Zoning (P&Z) Commission still include a description of a high-density neighborhood between Parker and Murphy, served by its own wastewater treatment plant.
However, the commission voted Thursday, Feb. 12, to recommend denial of two applications by developer Restore the Grasslands (RTG) that would need approval for the subdivision to be built.
RTG, linked to the family trusts of Dallas developers Phillip and Don Huffines, owns 101 acres in what was Parker’s extraterritorial jurisdiction, just north of Murphy’s Rolling Ridge neighborhood.
RTG also owns 12.4 acres of land inside the Parker city limits and sought to develop a small subdivision called Post Oak Estates comprising five 2-acre lots and a north-south roadway called “Street A” extending from Gregory Lane to a temporary turn-around at the 101-acre development.
