Kreymer Elementary kicked off its first-ever school year in August, and a dedication ceremony was held the evening of Monday, Oct. 6, to celebrate Wylie Independent School District’s first new addition since 2016. Members of the Kreymer family, the school’s principal and assistant principal, local leaders and individuals associated with the building’s construction cut the blue ribbon in front of a crowd of more than 200 teachers, students and members of the community.
The ceremony was opened by Acting Superintendent Kim Spicer, followed by the national anthem and the presentation of colors by Wylie East High School’s Air Force Junior ROTC.
Wylie ISD School Board President Jacob Day continued with a word of gratitude for the district’s operations team and the construction companies that worked on the building project.
