The Wylie Planning and Zoning Commission approved a site plan for a new multi-tenant retail building at 1812 N. State Highway 78, clearing the way for development to continue along one of the city’s key commercial corridors.
The proposal, brought forward by Mitchell Mulholland on behalf of Wylie Neighborhood Shops by Slate, LLC, outlines construction of a 7,650-square-foot building on 0.794 acres within the Woodlake Village development.
The property is zoned for retail under Planned Development 2022-38.
Jasen Haskins, planning manager for the city, told commissioners at the Tuesday, July 15 meeting, the project will help complete the Highway 78 frontage of the site.
“So, this is about a 7,600-square-foot building they’re using to finish out the frontage of that,” Haskins said during the meeting. “It’s relatively large, and it does require 39 parking spaces. But the site plan has 34.”
