As communities across the country mark Small Business Week, one Wylie business owner is a reminder that sometimes the most meaningful ventures begin with a leap of faith.
For Allison Wilson, co-owner of Community Wealth Advisors, that leap meant stepping away from a 20-year career in education and into the world of financial advising — all while staying grounded in the city she’s called home for more than two decades.
“I am a career changer,” Wilson said. “After 20 years serving as a teacher and school administrator, my father-in-law offered me the opportunity to join him in his financial advising business in West Texas.”
