The University Interscholastic League held realignment day Monday for the 2026-27 and 2027-28 school years. And for Wylie and Wylie East, hardly anything will change.

Wylie and Wylie East will remain in District 9-6A with Garland, Lakeview Centennial, Rowlett, South Garland, North Garland and Sachse.

The only significant change is that 9-6A will be reduced from a nine-team district to an eight-team district.

That change comes as the result of Naaman Forest moving down to Class 5A Division I. Naaman Forest will compete alongside Carrollton Creekview, Carrollton Newman Smith, Carrollton RL Turner, Highland Park, Birdville and Richland in District 6-5A Division I.
