Last week was the first week of the early signing period for high school seniors across the nation.
Student-athletes from Plano East, Sachse, Wylie and Wylie East put pen to paper and signed a National Letter of Intent with their college of choice, where they will compete in athletics and pursue their academic goals.
Five seniors at Wylie East signed an NLI inside the Williams Center.
Three of those signees are from the Lady Raiders soccer team.
Defender Trystan Wischnewsky signed with UT Tyler, defender/midfielder Isabelle Alacron-Vo made it official with Harding University, and goalkeeper Addyson Lomax will compete for Tabor College. They helped lead Wylie East to a third straight regional final last year.
Senior setter Jordan Turner, who helped lead the Lady Raiders volleyball team to an appearance in the fourth round of the playoffs her sophomore season and the third round her junior season, signed with the University of Memphis.
Catcher Jayleigh Dressler, who played a key role in leading the Lady Raiders softball team to their first-ever district title last season, signed with Texas State University.
