The Wylie Prep volleyball team has advanced to the third round of the TAPPS playoffs.
The Lady Patriots overcame an early deficit to defeat Covenant Classical in Fort Worth in four sets (19-25, 25-22, 25-23, 32-30) in the area round of the Division III playoffs on Tuesday night.
Senior Reagan Lipe posted 18 kills to pace Wylie Prep’s offense, followed by 11 kills each from junior Brooke van Meerveld and freshman Jaylee Rye. Rye added three service aces, 16 digs and 27 assists in the victory.
Wylie Prep will play Irving-The Highlands in the regional round later this week at a date and location still to be determined.
