Wylie overwhelms South Garland

GARLAND – The Wylie Pirates cruised to a 44-0 road win over South Garland on Friday and improved to 3-0 in District 9-6A.

Cornerback Will McCoy was the first to score, returning an interception 50 yards for a touchdown.

Wylie didn’t let up from there.

Quarterback Jabriran Blake threw for 145 yards and one touchdown in the win. He also rushed for two touchdowns.

Running back Jayden Martin finished with 99 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries.

Wylie outgained South Garland 333-45 in total yards.
