The wins keep coming for the Wylie volleyball team and head coach Sherry Olivares.

DeGrate added five blocks and two digs, while Hudgins completed an all-around effort with three service aces and 18 digs. Senior Olivia Royal dished out 16 assists.
Earlier in the week, Wylie had little trouble with Rowlett in a 3-0 victory (25-8, 25-11, 25-4) over the Lady Eagles.
Hudgins posted 18 kills to power the Lady Pirates’ offense. Green (11 assists), Royal (10) and sophomore Berkeley Weidinger (eight) all set up the offense well. Junior Jolene Bao had a big night behind the service line, posting 11 service aces and adding a team-high 12 digs.
Wylie (17-11 overall, 6-0 district) came into this week tied with Sachse (13-12, 6-0) for first place in District 9-6A. Those two teams will face off for the first time this season on Friday night at the Montgomery Center.
Wylie East (10-15, 3-3) won consecutive district matches for the first time this season, with both wins coming in dominating fashion. The Lady Raiders began their undefeated week with a 3-0 sweep (25-7, 25-3, 25-8) over South Garland on Sept. 9, then followed that up with a 3-0 win (25-17, 25-14, 25-20) over Lakeview Centennial on Friday.
With the two wins, Wylie East moved into sole possession of fourth place in District 9-6A, a half-game ahead of 2-3 Rowlett.
